Out of the suburbs of Los Angeles, California, SopAdia has carved out his own space in the bass music scene by combining his love for chest rattling bass with an instinct for intricate rhythms and a unique blend of weird, wonky, and slightly colorful sound design. SopAdia’s alien sound comes from a lifetime of musical experience. A multi-instrumentalist father instilled a love for music from an early age, which eventually led to him picking up a pair of drumsticks at the age of 11. After attending his first festival, the SopAdia project was officially born. As a word, SopAdia describes the feeling of being in the crowd at a festival and the way music can create a sense of oneness and belonging. From the heads banging in the front to the heads bobbing in the back, SopAdia is for anyone and everyone to feel welcome, especially those who never truly do. Everyone is a SopAdian, whether they know it or not. With a love of science fiction and a degree in screenwriting, SopAdia bridges together the alien with the human in SopAdia, the Space Bandit, who travels the universe with their trusty three-eyed monkey, AlEth, in search of music to bring back to Earth. Whatever lies ahead on their journey, SopAdia has an exciting future in the universe of bass music.
